I am proud of my dog :D

We bought a dog house for our dog last week, then last 4 days ago, she got soaking wet because it rained and she didn't go inside her house. She has never been in a small, closed pen. That is why she didn't wanna go inside her dog house. The next morning, I trained her by putting her food bowl inside her house so that she would start going in her house. She was so funny because while she was eating her food half of her body was inside the house and half of it was outside so what I did was I pushed her butt to get her whole body inside the house lol! I did this everytime I fed her.

Tonight, I heard thunder and saw lightning from outside so I asked my husband to get our dog and let her stay inside our house so she wouldn't get wet again caz she might get sick. When hubby came in from our yard he said " our dog is inside her house". I was so happy that I couldn't believe what he said so I looked outside the window and yeaahhh! she was inside her house lol! I think my training paid off and I am so proud of our dog :D

Dancing with the stars

I love watching this reality show. I think the contestants that will stay long on the show are Gilles Marini (actor), Shawn Johnson (olympian), Melissa Rycroft (the bachelor star) and Lil' Kim (rapper). In my opinion, Gilles is good in dancing plus the girls like him because he is very appealing so i guess he will get lots of votes lol! Shawn dances elegantly. I am impressed with Melissa when she danced Samba, she danced like a pro :) I don't really like Lil' Kim but I think she will stay long in the show as she has background in dancing hiphop so i guess that gives her the edge? I am glad to see that Denise Richards, Ty Murray and Chuck Wicks improves every week.

Trauma with Rottweiler

It was 70F yesterday afternoon so i decided that it is a great time to walk our 1 yr old Black Lab in the neighborhood. While I was walking, our dog broke the strap of the leash and she ran. She ran infront of the cage of our neighbor's dog that has a grown up Rottweiler and a grown up Boxer. The neighbor's dogs went to my dog and they kinda smell each other and growled to each other a little. I was like oh nooo! i don't want my dog to fight with other dogs especially with 2 grown up dogs. So i called my dog to come to me but she didn't to me. Then the owner of the dogs came and told me not to worry as his dogs are gentle giants. He grabbed my dog and gave it to me since i don't wanna get closer to their area.

On my way home, I was carrying my dog in my arms when I heard the rottweiler running towards us. I was sooo scared and my whole body felt cold as I thought that the Rot will bite me and my dog. I dropped my dog and the Rot came to her. I thought they will fight and the rot will tear up my dog but no, they just smelled each other and they both ran away. They seemed to be both happy to be outside their yards. The guy who owns the rot came and try to catch his dog while I am catching mine but my dog came to him (instead of me lol!) when we both called my dog's name. He then carry my dog and gave it to me. He said that I don't need to worry as his dog won't bite and he understands if I am scared of rot. Well, who is not afraid of rot? lol! I thanked him for getting my dog and I walk again going home carrying my dog. He then noticed that it seems like I am having hard time carrying my dog and he noticed that I am still scared that the rot might come back to us so he offered to walk with me going home and carry my dog. I said ok as I am really still scared of the rot and oh my! my dog is heavy lol!

I got really traumatized of that incident and I don't know if I can walk my dog again :( I don't wanna be bitten by a dog plus I don't want my dog to fight of be killed by other dog :( This is not the first time i walked my dog and actually I had a plan of walking my dog at the park on summer and bring her with us wherever we'll go but I don't think that that is still possible because of what happened. Hopefully soon, I'll be over with this incident but until now, I am still traumatized :(

rude priest

i just wanna share this.,.,.,

Last Monday, i went to our bed and opened my little black book organizer and I read that 7pm Monday is confession day. I checked the clocked and I was completely shocked, it is 7:35pm and I am late for the confession. I hurriedly dress up and told my husband to get ready and drop me off to the church. At the church, I saw the priest and asked him nicely "Father, is the confession is still ongoing?" he rudely answered "It started 7:00" and I replied "Oh, so I am lil late" he then looked at his watch and rudely replied "Yeah, 45 mins". So, what I did is I just knelt down and pray while my husband is waiting on me. After I prayed, hubby told me "Don't you think that he was rude to you?" i said "Yeah he is" then we drove back home.

I know that I am already late just right after I read my organizer but then I still tried to go as i thought and I was hoping that the church is still open. I know I was late, but can't he talk to me in a nice way? I mean, I asked him nicely so why be mean? I actually almost ask him "Are you sure you are a priest?" lol! In the Parochial Church in the Philippines where i usually attend mass, they usually have 3 to 4 priests during confession and the confession last for 2 hours plus sometimes they extend the time if there are still people coming over to confess. In Philippines, most of the priest that i met are respectful and courteous to people. But now i know why most of the American i met told me that priests and nuns are mean and rude. It's not that I didn't believed in them, but, its just i haven't experienced any mean nun or priest. I have never met a rude American til I met him and it is sad to say that he is a priest. And, to tell you the truth, he made me disappointed and made me not wanting to attend Catholic mass here in the US again. Can you blame me?

Judas Asparagus

Judas Asparagus

A child was asked to write a book report on the entire Bible.
The Children's Bible in a Nutshell:

In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God, darkness, and some gas.
The Bible says,' The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that.
Anyway, God said, 'Give me a light!' and someone did.
Then God made the world.

He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren't embarrassed because mirrors hadn't been invented yet.

Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, so they were driven from the Garden of Eden. Not sure what they were driven in though, because they didn't have cars.

Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as long as he was Abel. Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except for Methuselah, who lived to be like a million or something.

One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of his kids was kind of a Ham.
Noah built a large boat and put his family and some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said they would have to take a rain check.

After Noah came Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in exchange for some pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud sports coat.
Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was Charlton Heston.
Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt and away from the evil Pharaoh after God sent ten plagues on Pharaoh's people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable. God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti.

Then he gave them His Top Ten Commandments. These include: don't lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your neighbor's stuff.

Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy father and thy mother.

One of Moses' best helpers was Joshua who was the first Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the town.

After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn't sound very wise to me.
After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets.

One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up on the shore. There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don't have to worry about them.

After the Old Testament came the New Testament.

Jesus is the star of The New. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn.

(I wish I had been born in a barn too, because my mom is always saying to me, 'Close the door! Were you born in a barn?' It would be nice to say, 'As a matter of fact, I was.')

During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees and the Republicans.

Jesus also had twelve opossums. The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a terrible vegetable after him.

Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even preached to some Germans on the Mount.

But the Republicans and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn't stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead.

Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again. He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the Aluminum. His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

Daylight Saving Time (DST)

Daylight saving time (DST; also summer time in British English; see Terminology) is the convention of advancing clocks so that afternoons have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.

This morning when I wake up, my dad-in-law adjusted all the clocks in the house because of the DST. This DST is one of the differences between the US and the Philippines. I guess its because there is no winter in PH hehe. But i really don't mind adjusting one hour back the time because that means i get one hour younger hahaha!

R.I.P. Francis M. :(

MANILA, Philippines—(UPDATE 6) Rapper-TV host Francis Magalona died Friday at the Medical City in Pasig City, his co-hosts at the GMA Network’s noontime show “Eat Bulaga” said. He was 44.

Magalona succumbed to multiple organ failure “secondary to severe sepsis and secondary to pneumonia,” according to a hospital source.

He passed away at 12 noon, said Philippine Daily Inquirer sources.

The acclaimed rapper-musician was rushed to the Medical City on Thursday night, Inquirer sources said. He was “intubated” upon admission and placed in the Intensive Care Unit at 3 a.m. Friday.

He was described as “toxic” during the early hours of Friday, the Inquirer sources said.

Doctors still managed to administer chemotherapy on Magalona. He expired before a bone marrow transplant could be scheduled, they said.

Magalona had been undergoing several chemotherapy sessions since he was diagnosed with leukemia in August last year but was too weak to fight the infection, sources said.

Magalona is the son of popular 1950s movie tandem Pancho Magalona and Tita Duran.

“I don't want a media circus. I want privacy with my family,” Francis said in a phone interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, after reports of his illness broke out.

“What I'd rather talk about is how we can solicit blood donations to replace the supply that I have consumed in the hospital,” said Magalona, the father of eight children.

Francis' wife, Pia Arroyo-Magalona, said her husband started exhibiting symptoms in March this year. “It was very gradual, hindi siya biglaang lumabas [it didn't manifest right away].”

Magalona was supposed to perform “Superproxy” with the Eraserheads in the band’s reunion concert, “The Final Set” at the SM Mall of Asia grounds in Pasay City on Saturday.

He had been in collaboration with Eraserheads and Pupil frontman Ely Buendia for an album to be released this year.

Telecommunications giant PLDT also scheduled in April a golf tournament fund-raiser for Magalona.

Magalona is survived by his wife Pia, and children Maxene, Saab, Unna, Nicolo, Francis Jr., Elmo, Arkin, and Clara.

Magalona started his career as a break dancer in the early 1980s before appearing in several movies, including a lead role in Viva Films “Bagets 2.” He then worked as a disc jockey for the defunct radio station DMZ in the late 80s and then ventured into TV hosting, as a regular of the noontime show “Eat…Bulaga!” and a VJ for MTV Asia. He was also a judge in “Philippine Idol” the original local franchise of the international Fremantle reality singing talent search.

At the same time, he took the musical route as the well-known rapper-songwriter, with his ground breaking hit “Mga Kababayan Ko” in his debut 1990 album “’Yo” that also spawned the hit ballad “Cold Summer Nights.” Several albums followed, “Rap is FrancisM,” “Meron Akong Ano?,” and “Freeman” that further proved his mastery of the genre.

Magalona’s remains lie in state at the Christ the King church in Greenmeadows, Quezon City. According to wife Pia, Magalona’s wake will be open to the public starting at 6 a.m. Saturday.

my first mass

Yesterday was my first mass here in the US. I noticed that there is nothing really difference between the Catholic mass in the Philippines compare to the mass here in the US except from each seats here has books wherein you can read the lyrics of the songs and the bible verse. In the Philippines, we have this big screen wherein you can read the lyrics, responses and bible verse. And oh yeah, another difference is during the offering, I noticed that some people has an envelope where they put their offering so i asked my friend Heidi (the one who invited me to attend the mass) on where can i get envelopes. She said that only members of the church has envelopes like that and so if I want to have envelopes then i need to be a member and they will mail those envelopes in my address.

I was baptized as a Catholic, all my family members are Catholic, I studied in a Catholic school from kinder til I graduated Highschool but I started joining the Christian Service (Born Again) when i met my officemate Andrea. I think I like Christian more than Catholic as I feel like I grew more (spiritually) in Christian than in Catholic. Actually, I really don't mind attending mass or service as I believe that there is no religion that can save you, yes religions can guide you but it is still your faith in God that will save you and I know for sure that I am worshiping the right God.
