Heather Morris "Brittany" - I'M A SLAVE 4 U

I watched Glee last night and I was really amazed with the performance of Heather Morris aka Brittany. Last night's Glee episode was all about Britney Spears. Heather's I'm a slave 4 U version definitely kicked Rachel's Hit me baby one more time version.

Preparing for Glee

Today, I cooked dinner early so that I could watch my new favorite show, Glee! First, I baked brownies. While I am waiting on the brownies to be done, I peeled potatoes and sliced them. Then I put chicken barbecue in the oven. After the brownies was done, I tossed the potatoes in the frying pan. While I was frying the potatoes, I spread the icing on the cooled brownies. The chickens were done just right after the potatoes were all fried. Man! All the cooking was worth it after I ate dinner. Now! I am ready to watch Glee :D

I want a custom laptop for Christmas

My hubby asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him that I wanted a laptop. The laptop that I am using right now is still good but I just want a new one. Hubby was thinking of buying me an Iphone but I told him that the Iphone is nice but a custom laptop would be better and I'd be happier if I got that hehe.

We went store to the store today looking for custom computers that I might like but most of the computers we saw were either too expensive in price or cheap with specifications that aren't good. So awhile ago, hubby called his friend who knows a lot about computers. He is a programmer and also a computer technician. We called him because we are pretty sure that he knows where we could get a good deal for a laptop. He suggested that we visit Howard custom computers website because according to him, that is where we could find the laptop we are looking for. He also told us that that is where he usually buys computers because he always gets good deals at that website.

We checked the website and yeah, he was right! I found the laptop that I really really like. Yay! I am gonna have a new laptop!

Kitchen renovation

Last March, we renovated our living room floor. We replaced our carpet with hardwood flooring. Two months ago, we renovated our game room and turned it into a nursery for our son. Now, we are planning to renovate our kitchen. So, we've gone to the store to shop around for the things that we want for the kitchen and of course, we wanted to check out the prices to make sure that we have enough money for the kitchen makeover.

We have a built-in kitchen island that I want to change into a move-able kitchen island. It's a good thing that one of the staff in the store helped us to find what we were looking for. She suggested a butcher block countertop which I find really gorgeous. It was beautifully designed and it looks like it will last forever. After looking for the countertop, we went to the kitchen sink section. I find it easier to clean a stainless steel kitchen sink than the marble type and I am glad that my hubby agreed with me, so we finally decided to get stainless steel. After shopping around, we decided to go home but hubby noticed this adirondack chair in the store. It was love at first sight for him so he couldn't resist but to buy 2 chairs lol! He said that they are perfect for our patio which I believe is true as well hehe.

We came home happy because we finally figured out what our kitchen will look like after the renovations plus we got home with chairs for our patio. Yay! I am excited for the outcome of the renovations next month :).

Silly Me

When we got home from the 9 month Well-Baby visit of my son, I wrote a check and put it in the envelope. After that I went to the kitchen to get something to drink and grabbed the envelope and stamped it. I asked hubby to mail the check and I'll just take a nap. He woke me up and said "There is nothing in the envelope" I replied "Yes, there is". He opened the envelope and showed me that there was nothing there and showed me another envelope where the check was LOL! Hubby laughed at me and said " You sealed and stamped an empty envelope" I laughed at myself and said "Ok, sorry. I was sleepy and those envelopes where sitting next to each other so I guess I accidentally grabbed the wrong envelope" LOL!

Found a new friend at a party

Hubby and I attended a party last night. The party was actually good. Lots of food, karaoke and we met lots of people. I love the seafood fettuccine pasta that my friend cooked. It actually reminded me of my favorite restaurant in the Philippines. I love the cheesecake dessert too.

While I was getting something to eat, hubby and I was introduced to Sarah. Sarah and I talked about how yummy the foods are at the party. She said that her favorite was the apple pie and I told her that mine was the cheesecake. She actually looks very friendly and she smiles alot too.

I asked her on what does she do and she said she works in an Advertising Agency. She told me that she already worked with different kinds of advertising agency but right now, she is in the media department where she enjoy working alot. She also mentioned that she took Marketing course in college because she really want to work in an advertising agency. She said that her job is not easy but she enjoys what she's doing. She said that she take her job as a challenge because you need to be creative and innovative all the time. You also need to know how to work with your team. She said her work is kinda stressful and enjoyable as well.

It was nice talking to her because I learned lots of things about advertising. After our talk, we started singing the karaoke which was really fun and of course I sang my favorite song.

Looking forward on our next vacation!

After our 9 day vacation in Florida, hubby and I are looking forward on our next vacation. This time, we want to see one of my hubby's friend who lives in South Carolina. They have been friends since he was in highschool and his friend moved in South Carolina when they were in their 20's. Hubby told me lots of memories with him and now hubby wants to see him in person after they found each other on Faceboook.

We are thinking of visiting him in South Carolina two months from now. Right now, I am scouting for the hotel that we will stay in. I googled the word Myrtle Beach best hotels and it lead me to this website http://www.horizonmyrtlebeach.com. This hotel looks nice and what good about this is, this hotel is situated close to the beach! Hubby and I love beaches that is why every time that we will book for a hotel, we make sure that it is close to the beach.

Hubby talked to his friend and asked for a hotel that he could recommend and guess what he suggested? Myrtle Beach hotel hehe. He said it is nice stay in that hotel and play gold during day time. Hubby was actually surprised that he plays golf now because he use to not like golf when they were teenagers hehe.

I bet it this trip will be a good one. I haven't been to South Carolina and by looking at the pictures of the places there over the internet makes me wanna go now lol!

AOS APPOVED!!!

I passed my Adjustment Of Status (AOS) interview this morning. I was scheduled 8Am and we were there 7AM LOL! I know, we were too early so hubby and I had decided to eat breakfast first in the cafeteria.

15 minutes before 8AM, we went to the USCIS office and before we entered the office, we were scanned and our bags were checked. I already knew that electronic gadgets were not allowed in their premises so I left them all in our car.

When the window door opened, I submitted my interview schedule to the woman in the window and my name was called in less than 5 minutes. Hubby and I together with our baby entered the room of the immigration officer. She turned on the video camera and told us that the interview will be filmed. She made us swore both (hubby and I) that what we will say are nothing but the truth.

Hubby and I were both interviewed together in the same room at the same time. Basically, the questions were asked to us are the information that we submitted in filing AOS. Here are some of the questions that were asked to both of us.

1. Name
2. Spouse's Name
3. Home address and contact number
4. Birthday
5. Date of Marriage
6. Previous marriage (if ever we had)
7. Where hubby is working

And here are the documents that were asked from us:

1. Marriage Certificate
2. Birth Certificates (hubby, our son and I's)
3. Photo IDs (I showed my EAD Card)
4. Proof of residency (I showed billing statement)
5. Passport, Visa and I-94

Tee time

I keep on hearing the word tee times to my uncle who loves to watch sports so I finally decided to asked him on what is it. He told me that tee time is a pre-arranged time for the golfers to play in the course. My uncle looooves to watch sports and their TV is always on ESPN everytime I visit their house. He loves to watch NBA, tennis, golf, NFL, soccer and etc.

Yesterday, I asked him if I can go with him if ever he will watch NBA live. He said that he will not gonna watch NBA this time because he and his friends will going to have 48 hour tee times. He invited me to come with them in the golf club so that I would learn how to play golf. I have never played golf in my life so I was happy that he invited me to be with them. He went to www.48hourteetimes.com to have reservation and what's good about this website is NO MEMBERSHIP FEE!!

Yay! I am really anxious and excited about this tee time because I'll be able to hold golf club for the first time hehe.

A Night At The Movies With The Kids

The article written by Alonso Kramer

One of my favorite things to do with my children is to take them to the movies. It's a great way to spend a night out on the town and there always seems to be a lot of great movies to see. Whether the movie is animated, live action or 3D, my daughters, ages 4 and 7, can't wait for our next movie night together.

We always take a look in the newspaper to find out what the best movies in the area are that are age appropriate and then the girls get to take turns picking a movie. We like to go to the movies at least twice a month, but if there is a big release that we have been waiting for, we will go more often.

Every movie night starts the same way at our house. We eat dinner, the girls put on some make up, they like to think they are older than they really are, and then we set our ADT security system in mobile AL as we head to our van. Once we get to the movie theater the girls always want to load up on pop, popcorn and candy before we head to our seats. If we make it to our seats before the previews starts it's a good night for us, and then we sit back and enjoy the show.

EAD Card arrived!!

Yehey! My EAD (Employment Authorization Document) Card is finally in my hand!

We arrived back here in Indiana from Florida last Monday and that was the only time I checked my mails. Hubby is the one who opened the enveloped and showed me my EAD Card. Woohoo! I can start working now hehe. Last Tuesday, we went straight to the nearest SSA office and applied for my SSN. The woman told me that I'll received my card 7-10 after the application. Yay! Can't wait to have SSN.

Flea Market in Fort Lauderdale

We went to this huge Swap Shop Flea Market here in Fort Lauderdale. It was way bigger than the flea market I had been in Indianapolis. Actually, that flea market reminds me of Divisoria in the Philippines. There were lots of knock off clothes, shoes, gadgets etc. and there were lots of different nationalities who sells stuff in there. The difference between that flea market and the Divisoria is that that flea market has big parking space and circus which Divisoria doesn't have.

We actually went there to buy souvenirs. We bought shirts, keychains and photo albums that we will give away to our relatives and friends when we get back to Indiana.

At the beach

I really am so loving Florida. Yesterday afternoon, we went out to eat in an italian restaurant. It was a fancy one and the food is amazing. After eating, we went back to the hotel and me and my hubby got headache, maybe because of the hotness of the weather. So we took Tylenol and our heads went better after few minutes. After that, Zac kept fussing and crying and he won't calm down no matter what I do. I knew that there was something wrong in him because he is not usually like that. So I gave him Tylenol for babies because I was thinking that he might have headache and sure I was right! He stopped fussing after few minutes of taking the medicine.

In the afternoon, we went to the nearest beach but we didn't swim because there was a hurricane coming so the weather was not good :( Too bad, I even packed all the swimming stuff that we have. So we just had picture taking at the beach with my relatives.
