Where we met .....

Hubby and I are both thankful to that person who invented Yahoo! Literati. Why? Because that is where he and I met :D We were both just simply playing and not knowing that our simple chat in that game will lead us to constant communication. I don't normally reply to people who like to chat on the internet (except my friends) but I don't know what got into me that I chatted with my hubby.
I love my hubby and I can't imagine life without him that's why I want to thank the person who created Yahoo Literati :)

Wedding registry

Guest post written by Kayla Winters

Planning my wedding thousands of miles away from my family hasn’t been easy. Normally on things like this, my mom would grab the reins and take total control. But I can’t exactly ask her to fly 12 hours just to meet florists.

I hired out a wedding planner to handle most of the stuff like that but a huge problem that came up pretty quickly was the matter of my cross-continental wedding registry. So I did what was easiest and decided to Get Wild Blue so I could assemble my registry online and make sure that none of my gifts got left out, like a salad spinner that I would use maybe once a year.

So I registered online at a few stores and put in the stuff to ship to our house here in the States. I didn’t want my guests, especially my international guests, to worry about travelling with a wedding gift. It ended up working out pretty well because almost all of the stuff arrived at our apartment right before the wedding and during our honeymoon.

Now I just need to write thank you notes and figure out what I actually will use.

Iowa dam collapses in heavy rain

MONTICELLO, Iowa, July 26 (UPI) -- Iowa Gov. Chet Culver has ordered National Guard troops to the site of a dam collapse in northeastern Iowa and declared the area a disaster site.

The dam held back water in Lake Delhi, a popular recreational site and home to hundreds of summer vacationers. Culver visited the area Sunday.

More than 10 inches of rainfall last week sent water cascading over the top of the earthen and concrete dam, and the force of the water eventually caused a 200-foot section to wash away.

Culver said the lake was a statewide asset and that he will do what he can to see that it is restored.

No one was hurt but about 50 homes and more than 20 businesses sustained major damage, The Des Moines Register reported.

It just makes your jaw drop," condominium owner Irv Janey said. "The lake's gone."

The Lake Delhi Recreation Association owns the dam, and the lake had several public boat landings and a pair of public beaches. Association president Jim Willey told the paper it did not have money to rebuild the dam.

"This is a real landmark, and I think it's in Iowans' best interests to save this lake," Culver said.

The dam was inspected in 2009, but only minor problems were noted.

If a new dam is built, it would have to comply with more stringent design requirements, the Iowa Department of Natural Resources said.

Summer Safety Tips for Kids

The article written by Jan Gallagher

Summer means fun and summer means time out to play for kids. It's also a time when parents have to keep more of an eye on what their kids are doing now that they are out of school for a few months. The hardest thing for a parent to do is to try to keep their kids safe while enjoying the summer. What can you do to keep your kids safe?

Since they will be in the sun, apply a good sunscreen with a high spf factor. The higher the number, the better. Tanning isn't good for your skin, and burns are very painful.

Insects are plentiful in the summer too. Make sure that they(or you) apply an insect repellent that contains DEET in it. You will protect your kids from diseases like the West Nile Virus.

Kids sometimes in the summer will be at home by themselves because usually both mom and dad are working. Teach kids not to open the door just because they heard the doorbell ring and make sure they know how to contact emergency systems if there is a major problem. It would also be a good idea to make sure that you have an Oklahoma City adt alarm setup if your kids will be home by themselves quite a bit.

When they swim, make sure they don't swim alone and make sure they know how. Supervision with children is key especially around the pool or the lake. Since germs can still be contracted from pools, and if you own one, make sure an adequate level of chlorine is present to keep it clean.

Kids like to ride their bikes in the summer, too. Make sure that when they ride their bikes that they know basic bycycle safety rules. Teach them automobile traffic rules so they know what is going on around them.

Make summertime a fun a safe time for your kids.

Poison Ivy

My nephew got rashes from poison ivy today. We thought that it was chicken pox at first but when they rushed him to the hospital, they said that it was rashes from the poison ivy. I don't really know on what poison ivy looks like because we don't have that in the Philippines (not that I am aware of). So, what I did today was I researched about what poison ivy look like, remedies how to prevent it. This is what I researched.

Poison Ivy

  • grows around lakes and streams in the Midwest and the East
  • woody, ropelike vine, a trailing shrub on the ground, or a free-standing shrub
  • normally three leaflets (groups of leaves all on the same small stem coming off the larger main stem), but may vary from groups of three to nine
  • leaves are green in the summer and red in the fall
  • yellow or green flowers and white berries

Identifying Poison Ivy

  • three leaflets ('leaves of three, let it be')
  • the middle leaflet has a longer stalk (petiole) than the other two
  • leaflets are fatter near their base
  • elliptical leaflets with slight lobes
  • leaflets are all about the same size
  • no thorns along the stem
  • clusters of green or white berries may be present
  • aerial roots may be visible on the stem

Symptoms of Poison Ivy

  • an intensely itchy rash
  • red bumps that often are in a straight line or streaks, from where the poison ivy plant had contact with your child's skin
  • vesicles and blisters that are filled with fluid

Treating Poison Ivy Exposur

Exposures If you are exposed, according to the FDA, you should quickly (within 10 minutes):

  • first, cleanse exposed areas with rubbing alcohol.
  • next, wash the exposed areas with water only (no soap yet, since soap can move the urushiol, which is the oil from the poison ivy that triggers the rash, around your body and actually make the reaction worse).
  • now, take a shower with soap and warm water.
  • lastly, put gloves on and wipe everything you had with you, including shoes, tools, and your clothes, with rubbing alcohol and water.

Getting Rid of Poison Ivy

Once you identify poison ivy, especially if it is in your back yard, you will want to get rid of it, unless it is in a part of your yard that you and your kids can simply avoid. Unfortunately, trying to get rid of poison ivy can be difficult and dangerous, since the poison ivy plants often grow back and you run the very big risk of getting exposed while trying to kill the plants.

Some options to consider to get rid of poison ivy include:

  • call a professional landscaper to remove the poison ivy plants, especially if you have a lot of poison ivy in your yard.
  • spray the poison ivy plants with an herbicide, such as Roundup or Ortho Poison Ivy Killer, keeping in mind that they can also kill surrounding plants too.
  • manually remove the poison ivy plants, including the roots.
  • repeat spraying or manually removing the poison ivy plants as they grow back.

Getting back to school

We had power glitched last night because of the storm. Because of that I had to fix our internet modem and router because they didn't automatically went on after the glitched. While I was fixing our internet connection, I remembered my college days. I graduated with a degree of Computer Science and Cisco Networking is one of my electives.

After I fixed our internet connection, I wished that I took CCNA training. CCNA or Cisco Certified Network Associate is a course about networking. I worked in an internet service provider which made my knowledge about CCNA much wider but of course having a diploma or certification is still an edge in looking for a job. Some people think that CCNA is boring the truth is, some training schools have CCNA boot camp which would make learning CCNA more enjoyable.

If I want to work again in a networking related job then I better get back to school and get certified. I guess this will make me more confident in applying for the job I really really want besides I would learn more in getting trained again.

From Canada to Australia

I am glad that my friend from Australia called me today. She was from Canada and she just recently moved in Australia. She told me that she is still adjusting herself from her new environment. She said that Australia is a pretty good country and she likes the food and the people.

She is in Australia because of work employment. According to her, she grabbed the opportunity right away when they offered that job to her. Well, I can't blame her, they offered her a good australian life insurance aside from the good monthly salary that she gets. She asked me about my opinion about her getting funeral insurance. I told her that it is good thing to have it. Why? so that the family that you will leave someday doesn't need to worry about the funeral bills that you will leave them. I think that made her convince that having it is something that will lessen the pain of her loved ones once she passed away. No! She is not dying lol! She is just planning her future which I think all of us should be doing.

Insurance is becoming an essential part of our lives. We need to have it because we don't know on what will happen next. I know, not all of us can afford insurance that is why term life insurance is the best way to have if we have limited budget. Actually, it is considered as the inexpensive way of securing your loved ones from paying funeral bills and they would still get death benefit when you pass away during the term.

After my friend and I talked about insurance, we talked about shopping LOL! Well, we are women and shopping will always part of our conversation hehe. It was nice talking to her and I wish her all the good things in life.

We met Jeff Gordon in person!

We went to Riley's Hospital here in Indianapolis to visit my friend's son today. While I was talking to my friend inside their room, a nurse came in and told us that Jeff Gordon (NASCAR Racer) will be in the playroom to spend time with the kids. After few minutes, we all went to the playroom to see him and to our surprise, we were the first people who get in there which made us able to talk to Jeff Gordon in person. He asked for the name of my son and the name of my friend's son because according to him, his wife is pregnant now for a boy and so he is scouting for a good name for their son. Aww!

He is not that tall but he is a good looking man hehe. My friend's reaction when she saw him was " Wow! You are so cute!" lol! He talked to the sick kids in the hospital and spent time with them while the kids were painting. He seemed like he loves kids and I can say that he genuinely like spending time with kids.

We were able to take pictures with him and was able to get an autograph. Yay! I was so happy to see him in person.

Creamy Macaroni Soup (Sopas)

Creamy Macaroni Soup or "Sopas" in Tagalog (language in the Philippines) is one of my favorite food. Hubby loves it too. He ate bowls of it when he was in the Philippines. Today I am going to cook "sopas". Actually this is not the first time that I am cooking this here in the US. The family of my husband loved it on the first time I cooked it. I am not a cook but I am glad that I successfully cooked sopas and it really taste good too :D Thanks to this website where I got the recipe.

Creamy Macaroni Chicken Soup Ingredients:

  • 500 g chicken breast
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 white onions (minced)
  • 1 large bell pepper (seeded and sliced into strips)
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 carrots (sliced into thin strips)
  • 350 g macaroni noodles
  • 2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 medium cabbage (roughly shredded)
  • 2 Tbsp margarine
  • fish sauce / patis
  • rock salt

Creamy Macaroni Chicken Soup Cooking Instructions

  • Boil the chicken in 4 cups water. Save the broth to be used later.
  • Shred the Chicken meat with your fingers. Set aside.
  • Saute garlic and onion in oil over medium heat.
  • Add the bell pepper and cook until aromatic.
  • Stir in the shredded chicken.
  • Season lightly with ground black pepper.
  • Add the carrots, a quick sauté then the macaroni. Give it a stir to get the fat all around the pasta.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and 5 cups water. Simmer.
  • Pour in the milk, stirring gently.
  • Add the cabbage. From this point, the macaroni and the cabbage will cook at about the same time.
  • Add the margarine.
  • Season with patis or salt.

The Newlywed Game

Thanks for the article from Adrian Waller

The Newlywed Game can be seen on satellite TV and is hosted by Carnie Wilson. It features three couples who compete against each other. In Round 1, the wives have to try to match their husband's responses for 5 points apiece. In Round 2, the roles are reversed and the husbands have to match their wive's answers. This time the first 3 questions are worth 10 points apiece. The fourth and final question is 2 parts and worth 15 points each. Therefore the maximum amount that a couple can receive is 75 points, if they get every question right. A tie will result in having to answer another question. The couple with the highest score wins a second honeymoon vacation. The questions are often sexual in nature and are used to determine how well each couple really knows each other. It is funny to see some of the people squirm at the questions and how they respond in the moment. Of course, it is great to see if they can match each other's answers and to see if a couple can come from behind to win. It offers plenty of laughs and physical harm can occur if the answers don't match.

Saving my flowers

Guest post written by Mary White

I spend most of my time in retirement in my garden that I can overlook from my living room window. But I also like to bring some of the Garden inside with potted plants and bouquets in vases throughout my house.

But when our air conditioning cut out recently I wasn’t just uncomfortable, I was afraid for my potted plants. Most of the potted plants are ones that I’ve bought from a store and are especially sold with indoor use in mind, so when the temperatures in my house starting increasing, the flowers on them started to suffer and wilt.

It really upset me a lot to see all my hard work wilting away in front of me so I just called heating and cooling from SEARS instead of waiting around for our normal A/C repair man to come back with quotes on replacement systems.

A new system was installed pretty quickly and I somehow managed to salvage my indoor potted plants. However, some of my cut bouquets had wilted beyond repair so I just replaced them with new ones for my garden earlier than usual.

Rose, colors and meanings

I love roses. Hubby sent me dozens of roses several times on special occasions, my birthday, anniversary, Valentine's Day and when I gave birth. Mostly, he send pink roses because pink is my favorite color but when I gave birth, he gave me a dozen of red ones. Last night, I wondered on what are the meaning of colors of roses. Here is what I searched.

RED - Red roses are the traditional symbol for love and romance, and a time-honored way to say "I love you." The red rose has long symbolized beauty and perfection. A bouquet of red roses is the perfect way to express your deep feelings for someone special.

PINK - As a symbol of grace and elegance, the pink rose is often given as an expression of admiration. Pink roses can also convey appreciation as well as joyfulness. Pink rose bouquets often impart a gentler meaning than their red counterparts.

YELLOW - The bright, sunny color of yellow roses evokes a feeling of warmth and happiness. The warm feelings associated with the yellow rose are often akin to those shared with a true friend. As such, the yellow rose is an ideal symbol for joy and friendship.

WHITE - White roses represent innocence and purity and are traditionally associated with marriages and new beginnings. The white rose is also a symbol of honor and reverence, and white rose arrangements are often used as an expression of remembrance.

ORANGE - With their blazing energy, orange roses are the embodiment of desire and enthusiasm. Orange roses often symbolize passion and excitement and are an expression of fervent romance. A bouquet of orange roses will send a meaningful message.

LAVANDER - The unique beauty of the lavender rose has captured many hearts and imaginations. With their fantastical appearance, lavender roses are a perfect symbol of enchantment. The lavender rose is also traditionally used to express feelings of love at first sight.

Home security is something we should all have

The house of a friend of mine got robbed. Sadly, they took all her jewelry and money in the safe. It was very obvious by her tone of voice that she was extremely sad and depressed when she called me. I really feel badly about what happened to her. She and her husband are both hard working people. Both of them are employed and at the same time they have a business so it was really very hurtful when this happened to them.

They went to their summer house near the lake to spend just one night, so they left their house here in the suburbs not having any hint that it would get robbed. They know for sure that they locked all the windows and doors. The robber barged into their house through a window and took everything they had worked so hard to save. The cops are still investigating who robbed them.

My friend admitted to us that they had a lack of home security. After two days, they visited http://www.broadviewsecurity.com/ to scout for home security devices. Since they offered internet special, they subscribe online that day. Two days after, Home Security Team came to install home monitoring device that automatically calls police and alerts them if someone should try to rob their house again. I am now also thinking that having home security devices would be smart things to have. Having these would make your mind more at ease. My friend actually told me that she is not worrying nearly as much now that they have it.

She told me that they also changed their door locks and bought a type of locks that are far more secure. They made their house much brighter by installing lights around the doors and windows. They also trimmed their trees so neighbors can see easily who goes in and out of their house. They learned all of these home security tips from consumer reports.

Mayweather disappoints Pacquiao

It was not as if the world was about to come to an end when Manny Pacquiao learned that Floyd Mayweather Jr. had opted to ignore a deadline set by promoter Bob Arum for him to make a statement regarding a proposed November 13 fight.

''I am very disappointed but we have no choice but to move on,'' said Pacquiao when Arum told him the bad news.

''I have always wanted to please the (boxing) fans. That's why I badly wanted to fight Mayweather. This is what the whole world wants to see,'' said Pacquiao, who has to settle for a fight either with Mexican Antonio Margarito or Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto.

A deal can de made within the next seven or ten days, according to Arum, and this was not contested by Pacquiao's consigliore, Mike Koncz, who is in the US attending to very important matters concerning the pound-for-pound king's needs.

''It wouldn't take long before we get a deal made,'' said Koncz, who expects to return to Manila on Thursday with a deal in hand.

Koncz has been in constant touch with Arum as they work on the finalization of an agreement.

Four cities are bidding to host a Pacquiao fight: Abu Dhabi (in the United Arab Emirates), Dallas, Las Vegas and Monterrey (in Mexico).

If Pacquiao decides to meet Margarito, Las Vegas and Monterrey will slug it out to stage it and if it's Cotto, it'll be a tossup between Dallas and Abu Dhabi.

Koncz said fighting outside the US has a distinct allure since Mexico doesn't collect taxes on purses.

''It'll save Manny millions in taxes if he ends up fighting outside the US,'' stressed Koncz, noting that 30 percent of earnings goes to the IRS.

Still, Koncz is hopeful that Pacquiao and Mayweather would eventually find each other on opposite corners.

''Maybe next year (in May 2011),'' said Koncz.

Meanwhile, Top Rank is dying to know the schedule of Pacquiao, who also has a new role being Sarangani congressman, so it could map out the promotional activities being lined up.

''We have to see what the congressman's schedule looks like (before we plan anything),'' said Top Rank publicist Ricardo Jimenez. ''We have a boxer (who is) like no other,'' said Jimenez.

We are planning of buying a vehicle

Hubby and I are planning of buying new vehicle because I'll be getting my driver's license soon. The thing is, we can't make decision on what kind of vehicle to buy. I want a minivan because for me, minivan is an ideal family car. You can put the baby in the backseat and at the same time his stroller and all the baby stuff can fit in the trunk together with the groceries. Hubby wants a car because he said that he is afraid for me to drive minivan because they are famous and prone to flipping. I am a first time driver that is why hubby is so concerned about me driving minivan.

While we were debating on what vehicle to buy, we came into the topic of accident insurance. I agree that accident insurance is very important because life is full of uncertainties. We also talked about income protection insurance. Sometimes it is scary to think of what if we got unemployed because of a terrible accident? How can we pay our bills and support our family at the same time if that happens *knock on wood*. Purchasing income protection insurance is a good way of protecting ourselves from circumstances like that.

Life is good even though it is full of obstacles. We need to face the Real life. We need to be ready and protected from accidents and state of incapacity or else we struggle emotionally and financially.

Charice Pempengco singing Halo

It is true that Charice Pempenco is one of the best singer not only in the Philippines but also here in the US. She is so becoming popular. She will be part of The Glee the show.

The video below is Charice Pempengco singing Halo by Beyonce. There was a rumor that this video was Charice's audition performance for Glee but she made things clear on an interview that this video is was NOT her audition performance for Glee.

All I can say is that I am becoming her fan more and more. She is a very talented singer and down to earth at the same time. I hope she would remain like that forever.

Oregano Oil

I remember when I was a kid. I saw my grandmother planting. I asked her what plant she was planting, she said "his plant is called Oregano". She said that she bought it from a florist. I asked my grandma on why she planted Oregano. She told me that Oregano has lots of use. It can cure stomach ache. It can also cure ear infection and you can mix oregano in food.

Now a days, Oregano Oil is getting popular because of its numerous benefits. It can be use in digestive system, sore throats and colds and it can now also be used in skin infections. I heard an Oregano Oil product that contains tea tree and is rich in Vitamin E. Vitamin E is important for us to have as well as Vitamin D. Speaking of Vitamin D, there are times that the sunshine is too harsh to our skin which causes people staying away from sunshine which is not good because the sun is a source of Vitamin D. If you are one of those people who don't get much sun, taking Vitamin D supplement like Bio D-Mulsion is one solution to have Vitamin D in the body.

Health is wealth, that is what they say and that is what my grandmother taught me. I am glad that I paid attention to her when I was a kid and those learning I got from her will be passed to my son and probably to the next generation.

College and Family

Thanks to my friend Janet Dalton for this blog post

I am getting ready to go away to college again. I know it is a little early to be thinking about it, but I like to be prepared. Ironically, I do not like long goodbyes but at the same time I like to prepare for those same goodbyes as far in advance as possible. One thing I do not like about going away to college is that I miss my family, but having hughes net in oregon makes it a little more tolerable. I like being able to use Skype to talk to people, but I wish that more people had it. Fortunately my family has satellite internet in maine so we are able to Skykpe often. This year probably will not be as bad for me as it was last year. Being a sophomore in college comes with social responsibilities and one of those is to not cry like a baby for the first month I am there. Doing that is also not good for my studies, since I can not see my books through the tears. I know, I need to suck it up but I promise I plan to do better this year than I did last year. For one thing, I know what to expect and I am also rooming with the same girl I had as a roommate last year.

Baby Bunnies made out of washcloth

Yesterday, I posted that I made bunnies out of washcloth for my niece's baby shower. I want to share the picture of the bunnies I made. I made 30 pieces of bunnies in 6 hours. Actually I could have made it much faster if there was no interruption.

Keeping my live-in dad comfortable

Guest post written by Mark Alton

I was certainly uncomfortable when our home’s air conditioner broke. But I was mostly worried about how my senior mother, who lives with us and has diabetes and other health problems, would be able to handle it during this scorching summer.

We figured out pretty quickly that the there was something wrong with the A/C because it didn’t take long it to get uncomfortably warm in our house. As soon as an A/C repair man came and told us that it was indeed broken, I started shopping around. One of my friends had recently bought a new air conditioner so she referred me to hvac installation.

I ordered the unit and arranged the installation. Fortunately for me and my family, we were able to arrange an installation appointment for the next afternoon. So we only had to brave it through ceiling and box fans for another night.

My dad was quite the trooper through it all although I knew that he wasn’t comfortable. I’m just glad that I don’t have to worry about him getting overheated now.

Baby Shower of my niece

Yesterday, the whole family gathered for the baby shower of my niece. She is 18 years old and she is having her baby boy two months from now.

We understand that it is hard to be a teenage mom that is why we were all support in helping her with what her baby needs. One of my sister-in-law is the one who was in charge or almost everything (decorations, gifts, prizes for the games) and my two sister-in-laws were the ones in charge for the cake and of course they gave some gifts too. I am the one who made the baby shower giveaway for the guests. The giveaway was baby bunny made out of wash cloth. That was not the first time I did it. It was actually the second time, the first time was on my own baby shower. My hubby and I gave her almost all the clothes that was outgrown by our baby Zac, crib, playpen and some other toys that her baby would need. We also gave her a big box full of new born diaper and a bag full of baby stuff.

She is almost all set now. I really wish her a safe delivery and a healthy, happy baby boy. Yay! Zac will going to have another playmate soon! :)

A visiting friend

I had been busy for days preparing our house for my friend's visit. They are from Arizona. She is a friend of mine and we both miss each other so much so they decided to visit us here in Indiana and stay in our house for two days. I cleaned the guest room where she and her hubby and their lil baby will sleep. I changed the bedding. I vacuumed the carpet and did some dusting.

They are actually suppose to be here tonight but they called me and told me that there will be few hours of delay because they had to stopped at Dallas auto repair shop because their Chevrolet Silverado needed a brake job. I told them it is ok if they will get late as long as they are safe. They said that the staff of that auto shop seemed like they did a great job in fixing their vehicle plus they are very accommodating.

I will cook some of our favorite Filipino food when they get here. We are also thinking of going to Indianapolis Zoo and tour them in historical places here in Indiana. I am sure that we will all going to have a great time. YAY! Few more hours and they will be here!

I see tomatoes!

Our hanging tomato plant has some tomatoes now! The plant is quite tall now and I am happy to see tomatoes. On my post months ago, I mentioned that my dad-in-law planted tomato plant and now we were happy to see tomatoes. We don't need to buy tomatoes for our sandwiches and salad hehe.

I just hope that our kids here won't pick them like what happened last year.

How My OCD Helps to Protect My House While on Vacation

Guest blog post from Beatris Allman

When it comes to going on a well deserved vacation, I refuse to spend any time worrying about whether my house is protected. Vacations are a time to get away and relax. It’s no time to spend worrying about whether my belongings will be there when I return. So, this is where my obsessive compulsiveness serves me well. I make sure to take the necessary precautions before I leave. Interested in knowing what I do?

First, I advise two neighbors of my absence. Why two neighbors? Well, if one of them is called away or has an emergency, I have a backup just in case. I also provide both with my phone number and advise them when I’ll return.

Second, I make sure my security alarm from www.allhomesecurity.com is set and in good working order before I leave. I also test the sensors on the windows and doors of the house to make sure everything is working as it should.

Third, I ask my neighbors to move my car every now and then. I ask this to be done so that it doesn’t stay in the same parking spot for too long.

Finally, I have timing sensors on the lights in the house to coincide with when I would return from work and go to bed. I also ask my neighbors to pick up my mail. I don’t advise my mail carrier that I’ll be away as I want everything to appear as if I am still at home.

When it comes to going away on vacation, don’t make the mistake of wondering if you’ve done enough to protect your house while you’re trying to relax. Become a little obsessive compulsive. Make sure to do everything before leaving. Make a list and check them off one by one. You’ll be glad you did.

4th of July 2010

We grilled some quarter legs and had some mac and cheese, chicken pasta, corn and some fruits. Then after few hours we went to the park and waited on the fireworks. There were lots of people at the park waiting on the fireworks and we were lucky that we were able to find a bench to sit on.

While the fireworks was going on, I looked at my hubby carrying our son. For me, it was the best sight ever. I love my hubby and my son and I love looking at them together. The fireworks was nice and great to look at but for me looking at my two boys together is greatest thing ever.

I love them so much! Happy 4th to everyone!

How I get updated in concerts.

I am really enjoying the music of Lady Gaga and I am happy that she will be having her concert here in Conseco Fieldhouse, Indianapolis on July 17th. She definitely is one of the top performer now a days. My most favorite song of her is "Just Dance", that song can really make me dance hehe. Bad Romance is anther hit single of her that I really like.

Do you know how I get updated with the latest concerts? I always check Ticketamerica where they sell concert tickets. They also offer cheaper ticket price compare to other ticket sellers. Lady Gaga will also perform in Verizon Center in Washington DC, Staples Center in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in New York. Thanks for that website because it always make me updated with the latest concert of my favorite artist.

Hubby does not like Lady Gaga at all because she dress up weird and he doesn't like her music. Yeah, I agree that she dress up weird but in spite of that, I find her very talented. She can sing, dance, play instruments and compose songs. I am really looking forward on watching her upcoming concert this 15th.
